An ah-haa I received today is the importance of writing and speaking of the turbulence inside to free it from the wheel of the mind. So often we humans don’t want to encounter our inner pain, so we stuff it tirelessly, pushing down on emotional baggage as if our beings had infinite stuffing space. And then we’re off in the world smiling and carrying on, acting as if nothing was hidden. Sometimes WE don’t even notice. And then we ask and intend to receive blessings according to our intentions that have zilch alignment with the bigger picture in the cosmos and wonder why the gold coins are not piling up outside our doorways.
Today I drew a line in the sand! When I hurt, I’ll feel it and share it by print or word or prayer. I’ve been practicing this for months, and now feel like there is a new urgency to match the intensity of the discomfort with the level of remedy. So..for moderate pain, pray, write, meditate and ask for guidance. For intense pain schedule a blessing and a listening from a trusted fellow human. For intensest pain, seek out a teacher for a life-line.
One of my favorite reads and absorbing books right now is American Buddha by Stuart Mooney. Stuart is a learned, humble, and deeply spiritual being and teacher who emanates divine love. If you pick up this book, you’ll find some amazing stories, spiritual practices, wisdom and perhaps your teacher within. Not to mention the revelation of the Buddha boy living in the West. You can learn more about Suart at his website at www.AmericanBuddha.net. He has spent 40 years studying and being and awakening. He’s a privileged teacher of many ancient vedic practices and offers the Oneness Blessing. Retreats, seminars, private sessions are also available.
Peace and blessings!
